A B2B sweater QC guide covering measurements, knitting defects, finishing, trims, labels, packaging and final inspection. This guide walks you through the manufacturing journey with Licheng Knitwear.
Sweater QC starts with measurement checking against the approved size chart. Important points include chest, body length, sleeve length, shoulder, cuff, hem and collar dimensions. Buyers should define tolerance before production so the factory and buyer use the same standard.
Knitwear should be checked for skipped stitches, holes, uneven tension, loose yarns, visible repairs and linking defects. Areas such as collars, armholes, side seams and plackets need careful inspection because they affect appearance and durability.
Washing, drying, steaming and pressing can change hand feel and garment shape. QC should check shrinkage, twisting, odor, surface cleanliness and overall garment stability. Wool blends and heavy gauge styles need special attention during finishing.
Buttons, zippers, woven labels, care labels, hangtags, barcode stickers and size labels should match buyer approval. Packaging should follow the agreed folding method, polybag, sticker, carton mark and size ratio.
Final inspection should review workmanship, measurements, appearance, quantity, packing and documentation. Buyers can also request third-party inspection if needed. A clear QC checklist helps prevent avoidable shipment disputes.
